An award “Złote Wachlarze” is an award granted to people and institutions. This is the appreciation of the contribution of labor to supporting immigrants, but also for the preparation of Poland as the host country. On December 16th, the fifth final gala took place. The organizer is the International Organization for Migration.
This year’s winners:
1. The Public School Complex in Mrokowo (Zespół Szkół Publicznych w Mrokowie) – there is a lot of children of foreigners, who work in the nearby Wólka Kosowska. The school is very open, professionally prepared to teach children of other nationalities and works hard to develop constantly on this field.
2. Paweł Kaczmarczyk – researcher at the University of Warsaw, studying migration. Promotes discussion on this subject based on reliable scientific data.
3. Marina Hulia – social activist, promoting the support of foreigners and their reception by our country. At the railway station in Brest she organized classes for families waiting to be allowed to submit an application for international protection in Poland.
