The 17th International Film Festival „Watch Docs. Human rights in the film” begins. It lasts until December 14th.

During the festival, documentary films about human rights are shown.
This year’s program includes films by artists from Europe, USA, Kenya, India or Israel. Documents will be shown on, for example, social activists from Cambodia, a huge maternity clinic in Manila, and robbery in buying land in Ethiopia.

The first edition took place in 2001. The festival is organized by the work of non-governmental organizations and cultural institutions. It enjoys great interest, and on many films and meetings viewers hardly fit into the halls. On the occasion of the Festival, the award is also granted „for outstanding achievements in showing human rights in the film.”

Shows and meetings with invited guests take place at several cinemas in Warsaw. Free tickets can be picked up at a particular cinema for a given day or for the next day.
